Blair Guild currently works as an associate video producer and writer for CBS News where she edits video and writes articles for the politics section of In addition to producing content for the digital side of CBS, Blair also works with Face the Nation editing newsworthy video clips for web from the live Sunday morning broadcast. The position allows her to combine her love of politics and policy with her passion for digital and broadcast journalism, writing, and video production. 

Blair believes in the power of both written and visual journalism as mediums for responsible information sharing and compelling storytelling. Her interest in journalism began at a young age in her hometown in Massachusetts when she became editor of her online high school newspaper and interned at the local cable television station after school. From then on, her love for journalism grew and soon developed into a passion for new media and videography. 

Blair graduated early from George Washington University in December 2016 from the School of Media and Public Affairs with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication including a double minor in Spanish and music. Upon graduation, she received Special Honors in her major and earned a magna cum laude distinction. In the spring of 2016, she was also honored with the Hoberman Prize for original and meaningful journalism from SMPA. 

In her time as a student at GW, Blair honed her journalistic craft through a variety of projects within her coursework at SMPA and through her position as video editor of The GW HatchetGeorge Washington University's award-winning student newspaper. She also had the opportunity to gain professional journalism experience during her undergraduate career through a variety of internship and fellowship programs. In the fall of 2015, Blair interned for NBC’s Meet the Press, assisting with research, production, and guest management for the broadcast. Following this, Blair expanded in to digital journalism as a politics fellow for HuffPost Politics where she wrote articles in addition to producing, shooting, and editing original video. Before starting her senior year, she also had the opportunity to intern for ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos, focusing on the 2016 presidential election.
